New Leeds target emerges as Orta now actively scouting 20 y/o prodigy with 'tremendous energy'

Leeds United are reportedly interested in completing a summer move for exciting AFC Wimbledon youngster Jack Rudoni.

The 20-year-old has caught the eye with his performances for Wimbledon this season, proving to be one of the few positives for the League One strugglers.

Rudoni has scored seven goals and registered three assists in the league so far in 2021/22, with his attacking quality from midfield standing out.

It appears as though the youngster is a man in demand ahead of the summer transfer window, however, and Leeds are in the mix.

According to TEAMtalk, the Whites are one of a host of clubs eyeing up a move for Rudoni, with the report claiming Victor Orta and co are ‘checking on his progress’.

Wolves and Burnley are also mentioned as potential suitors for the midfielder, with the Premier League looking likely to be his destination next season as the trio are ‘actively scouting’.

While Rudoni wouldn’t come in as a game-changing signing from the off, he is someone who could be viewed as a long-term asset in the middle of the park – the Englishman has been hailed as ‘excellent’ by Wimbledon head coach Mark Robinson.

He averages 1.7 tackles per game as well as 0.8 key passes and dribbles apiece in the league this season, showing he is a force in and out of possession.

Doncaster coach Glyn Hodges has also lauded his ‘tremendous energy’, a trait which is sure to stand him in good stead in a Marcelo Bielsa team, assuming the Argentine stays put this summer of course.
