Dutch too strong for SA hockey men
It was an improved performance from the SA men, who were thumped 11-1 by the Dutch in their opening encounter on Tuesday.
The Netherlands, who led 3-1 at half-time, scored goals through Thijs van Dam, Thierry Brinkman, Dennis Warmerdam (2), Tim Swaen and Tjep Hoedemakers.
The hosts replied with goals from Leneal Jackson and Matthew de Sousa.
South Africa also lost 10-2 to India on Wednesday and will again tackle the men from the subcontinent on Sunday (18:00).
