Neville throws down gauntlet to Glazer over Man Utd vow

Gary Neville has urged Manchester United owner Joel Glazer to keep the promise he made after the club’s involvement in the failed European Super League Coup last year.

Avram Glazer – who was seen at Old Trafford in September – is the only member of the family to have made an appearance ar the club since the start of the pandemic.

The United fans have been outspoken over their frustration at the way the club is run, with protests regularly occurring even before the European Super League debacle, which led to swathes of supporters calling for the family to be ousted.

Apologising to fans following the collapse of the competition, Joel Glazer committed to “better communicate” with supporters.

“Although the wounds are raw and I understand that it will take time for the scars to heal, I am personally committed to rebuilding trust with our fans and learning from the message you delivered with such conviction,” Glazer said. “We also realise that we need to better communicate with you, our fans, because you will always be at the heart of the club.”
