Netflix confirms Disenchantment's future as show boss gives reassurance
Netflix has confirmed the future of one of its popular animated fantasy shows.
Disenchantment, the brainchild of The Simpson's creator Matt Groening and Josh Weinstein, will be finishing with its fifth season, the streaming giant confirmed in a tweet. Set in the medieval fantasy kingdom of Dreamland, the series follows rebellious princess Bean (Abbi Jacobson), her elf companion Elfo (Nat Faxon), and her destructive personal demon Luci (Eric Andre).
In a tweet, the official Disenchantment account said: "HEAR YE! HEAR YE! THE FINAL SEASON OF DISENCHANTMENT IS AMONG US! Season 5 premieres on September 1st, only on Netflix. Please enjoy our Final Teaser as we rally momentum for Bean's shocking conclusion! More to come soon..."

Fans were gutted at the announcement, while others wondered how the show would wrap up its loose ends. @trytcx tweeted: "It can't end already... I was hoping for at least 10 seasons!" while @lynchripley said: "I don’t want it to be the final season," with two crying-face emojis.
@ADragonDemands said: "…I honestly thought we’d get season 6" and @kmlh444 said: "i want to cry that it is the end but this is my comfort show".
One fan, @CollectSimpsons, asked showrunner Josh Weinstein whether or not the show show was able to wrap everything up in the final season. "So Disenchantment is coming back for one last season! Was it you who tweeted a while ago that you'd planned for a 6-season story?," the account asked. "Did you get a chance to wrap up everything you wanted in this final season?"
