National Television Awards 2023 LIVE: Results, winners, red carpet pictures and the action as it happens

It's time once again to celebrate British TV with the annual National Television Awards.

Stars of the screen are expected to hit the red carpet ahead of the ceremony which is taking place at the O2 Arena in London tonight. On hosting duties will be comedian, presenter and I'm A Celeb star Joel Donnett.

There are a total of 16 prizes up for grabs including best TV presenter, best serial drama, best comedy, and best daytime show. Among those nominated are Ant and Dec who are up for the TV presenter award after winning the prize 21 times in a row. They are up against the likes of Alison Hammond and Martin Lewis.

ITV’s This Morning also defends its title of best daytime show amid the furore of the Phillip Schofield affair and claims of toxicity and bullying behind the scenes.

Schofield, 61, resigned in May after admitting to an “unwise but not illegal” relationship with a younger male colleague. Holly Willoughby has continued to present the programme with a series of co-stars and returned from her summer holiday this week.

The National Television Awards will be broadcast live on ITV1 from 8pm.
