NASCAR: Kyle Busch makes narrow crash escape in dirt track race
NASCAR heads to Nashville this weekend as the Cup Series resumes after a weekend off following the Toyota Save Mart 350 at the Sonoma Raceway, but Kyle Busch has been doing anything but relaxing in the hiatus.
The NASCAR schedule is a hectic one so you’d think the drivers might take any opportunity of a weekend’s down time to get away from the wheel, but there was no such approach from Busch, who’s been taking part in a dirt track race.
He narrowly avoided a crash during the event, though, with a competitor in front of him losing control of his buggy, before tapping the outside wall and rolling back across the circuit.
Busch was metres away from the incident and those metres became inches as Busch closed in at a fair old speed, with him just able to avoid what would have been a nasty collision.
