Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson: Why WWE legend cut ties with Logan Paul

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Logan Paul are, without doubt, two of the most recognisable people on the planet right now.

The Rock is one of the biggest movie stars in the world, having transitioned into Hollywood full-time after leaving WWE in 2004.

Logan, on the other hand, is a YouTube sensation and internet personality, and particularly amongst the younger generation, is rather quite famous.

Logan and The Rock actually did some work together previously, before the former WWE Champion cut ties with the 27-year-old, and we now know why.

Paul and Rocky were quite close, but in December 2017 that changed, the pair were no longer friends.

Speaking on the True Geordie podcast, Logan has explained why that is, revealing that it was linked to his visit to the so-called Aokigahara “suicide forest” in Japan.

“This was one of the saddest moments of my life, what I’m about to say. After Japan happened, obviously, found myself in a hole, rightfully so, that I had never been in before. Extremely low, mentally, and I got a call from my publicist who also repped Dwayne and she’s like, ‘Dwayne has asked that you remove every picture and video that you’ve done with him. Maybe in the future the relationship can be reconciled, but for now, he basically wants nothing to do with you.

I also understood, I get it. I made a grotesque error and he has had things in his life that a lot of people, that incident, affected him in a personal way. I understood it and that was the other part. I was like, ‘F*ck.’ You sleep in the bed you make, right? I just wish I would have gotten a call or text.“
