'My tot is so obsessed with broccoli he sleeps with the veg every night - we threw him a broccoli-themed birthday party'

We’ve all got one vegetable that we favour over the others when it comes to our Christmas dinners and Sunday roasts.

But there’s one little boy who loves broccoli so much he sleeps with the superfood and carries it with him wherever he goes.

Harrison Mullins has such a deep attachment to raw broccoli he wears broccoli face paint, has broccoli bedding and makes his classmates draw broccolis at nursery.

While the three-year-old's family have dubbed him Britain’s biggest broccoli fan, the tot refuses to eat the vegetable as it’s his ‘best friend’.

Mum Joanne Prophet has embraced her son's unusual passion for the flowered vegetable and even organised a broccoli-themed cake for his third birthday.

The tot is so captivated by the green sprouting veggie that he has a broccoli teddy, a broccoli t-shirt and sings along to a broccoli song.

Harrison's nursery have had to add extra broccoli onto their weekly shopping list - and even print out pictures of the green plant for Harrison to wear all day if they run out of the real thing.

Joanne, who works in aesthetics, said Harrison's face lights up when he sees broccoli in the supermarket - but admits her son's newfound love of the vegetable was completely unexpected.

The 28-year-old shared her son's unusual fascination on TikTok, capturing the attention of more than 500,000 people who offered up praise for the 'adorable' toddler, Wales Online reports.
