Munster player ratings: Crowley, Coombes and Hodnett outstanding

Munster are the BKT United Rugby Championship champions after an incredible 19-14 win over Stormers.

After a slow start start to the season and a dip in the middle, they finished on a high with the most remarkable run to the final and got the job done in style.

Here's how we rated the side.

15 Mike Haley - 8

Constantly in the right place and fielded everything that came his way, kicks were well-judged, as was the yellow he bravely took for the team.

14 Calvin Nash - 8

Superb outing for the winger, worked tirelessly over the duration and was perfectly placed to take Munster's second try

13 Antoine Frisch - 8

Signed for a 100% tackle success rate and was always on hand to carry when required. Poor option for the Stormers’ first try but outstanding thereafter.

12 Malakai Fekitoa - 9

Like his centre partner, Fekitoa was a willing carrier throughout and knew when to take and avoid contact. Beat five defenders and won two turnovers. There will be regrets that he didn’t sign his contract extension.

11 Shane Daly – 8

Must have covered every blade of grass on the pitch and was chaser-in-chief for Munster’s kicks, had a try ruled out in the first half. Along with Nash, has given Andy Farrell some food for thought.

10 Jack Crowley – 9

Outstanding, always in control, ran the line superbly and unlucky to get carded late on. Sublime try-assist for Nash. His two conversions proved vital.

9 Conor Murray – 9

Incredible performance from the 34-year-old. Kicking back to its inch-perfect best and the Stormers simply couldn’t deal with it. Physical presence in defence was key.

1 Jeremy Loughman - 8

Stood firm all day in the scrum and was busy in the loose.

2 Diarmuid Barron – 8

All-action from the hooker, who grabbed Munster’s first
