Mum shares three clever Vinted hacks – and it helped her earn £400 in just one month
A thrifty mum revealed how she raked in hundreds of pounds in just a matter of weeks by using the online marketplace Vinted.
Jess, known on TikTok as the_pilotswife, managed to pocket an impressive £400 in four weeks through sales on the app. She began using Vinted in August to sell her children's outgrown clothes, and now shared her success story and top tips for making money on the platform.
She advised: "My first tip would be if you've got a lot of stuff then upload what you will to your 'wardrobe' and then after that upload one or two items every single day. It keeps you at the top of the algorithm and then that means people keep clicking on your stuff. The more people click on it the quicker you're going to sell your stuff.
"Number two is post things quickly so have your clothes ready, have them clean, have them in an accessible place, know where your packaging is. So, Vinted used to have a box.
"I think boxes are expensive and they're really hard to come by cheaper or free so I'm not interested in that. I would say use a bag so if you do a lot of shopping and you've got loads of bags, reuse them."
If you don't do a lot of shopping, Jess highlighted the option to purchase a pack of Vinted postage bags, which come in various sizes and are currently on offer for £4.65 with free shipping, describing them as "great".
Jess says she now sells between two to six items daily on Vinted. The mum also advised her 3,842 TikTok followers to know where their In Post lockers and drop off points are for whichever delivery courier they use whether it's Yodel or DPD because "once you've packed everything up, stuck the label or got your QR code you know where you're going, you can just drop it off and then that's it, done".
