Mum, 30, dies in New York after suddenly falling ill on holiday

Tributes are pouring in for a mum-of-two who tragically died while on holiday in the United States. Sarah Reid (nee Macauley), was celebrating her 30th birthday in New York with her husband Darren when she became seriously ill.

A GoFundMe campaign, initiated by Gary Black to help the family cope with "financial uncertainties" related to travel and medical costs, has impressively amassed over £59,000 within just three days. Sadly, Sarah passed away on Monday.

A funeral notice honoured Sarah, from Northern Ireland, as the dearly beloved wife of Darren; dedicated mother to Alexander and Harry; treasured daughter of William and Madeleine; and dearest sister of Irvine (Ballyroney, Banbridge), also mentioning her as the daughter-in-law of Harold and Olive, and sister-in-law to Judith and Charline (Eglish, Dungannon).

The Country And Southern Gospel Team shared their condolences on social media, stating: "We are saddened to hear the news of the passing of the young woman Sarah Reid who you all have been praying for who had taken very ill on the trip to America for her birthday."

They continued, "We ask that you all would please uphold Sarah's husband Darren and their two sons along with Sarah's parents and the family circle very much in prayer at this heartbreaking time for them all. We pray that they will know of the comfort and presence of the Lord at this time of great sadness and heartbreak.", reports Belfast Live.

"Our condolences and deepest sympathy and our thoughts and prayers are sent to all the family circle, from all the Country And Southern Gospel Team and CASG Family."

Many paid their respects on social media, remembering "a lovely girl taken too soon". One acquaintance commented: "Sarah had a heart of gold and
