Mum, 26, died abroad and her devastated family still don't know what happened

An investigation into exactly what happened to an ‘amazing’ mum-of-three from Salford who tragically died in Turkey during a ‘high risk’ cosmetic surgery procedure has been delayed.

Demi Agoglia, 26, had reportedly undergone a 'Brazilian bum-lift’ at a clinic in the country when she lost consciousness and was rushed to Istanbul Hospital where she died on January 8. Tributes to Ms Agoglia, from Little Hulton, Salford, flooded social media following her tragic death and a fundraising page was set up for her three sons.

Her sister Georgina told the M.E.N. Demi was 'an amazing mum to her boys'.

She posted a tribute video of Demi on TikTok and wrote: "I lost my sister yesterday. I miss you so much Demi. Nothing feels real anymore. How can you be gone? Just wanna hear you shout alright Rkid. Nothing with ever be the same without you. I love you Demi x."

During a hearing at Bolton Coroner’s Court on Wednesday (July 17), coroner John Pollard told of ‘missing information’ that he said he would need to ‘get the bottom’ of what happened to Demi.

Mr Pollard said that his main concern was determining how Ms Agoglia came by her death and said there was ‘no direct evidence’ of what medical procedure took place and why it took so long.

“When something like this happens abroad it is a hundred times more difficult to deal with than if it happened in this country," he told the court.

“I haven't got the information I need, that’s bluntly the situation."

Mr Pollard said he had contacted the foreign office to request further information and said he was planning to write to Istanbul Hospital directly, adding that he would like statements from the surgeon,
