Mullins completes move to Brighton from Bohs

Jamie Mullins has become the latest young Irish player to transfer to Brighton and Hove Albion, joining from Bohemians on two-and-a-half-year deal.

Evan Ferguson and Andrew Moran have broken into the Seagulls first-team squad this year after their moves from Bohs and Bray Wanderers respectively, with Mullins now following as he links up with their Under-21 outfit for now.

The 18-year-old midfielder departs the Gyspies after making 32 first team appearances, including 17 last season, largely as a substitute.

The transfer fee has not been disclosed.

Mullins made his first start for Bohs at 16 and scored against Longford Town.

Brighton Under-21s head coach Shannon Ruth said: "We're really pleased to welcome Jamie and we’re excited to begin working with him."

Mullins said: "I can’t wait to get started. I played alongside Evan Ferguson at Bohemians and we know each other really well.

"We spoke a lot about what Brighton has to offer young players and the pathway they have, so it made it a really easy decision to join."
