"Moyes was a huge admirer" - Journalist says West Ham move "hasn't worked out" for 29-cap flop

Alex Kral hasn’t had the type of impact at West Ham that many were expecting, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The 29-cap Czech Republic international is currently on loan from Spartak Moscow but has hardly had a look in under David Moyes this season.

Being one of just three outfield additions last summer, Kral would have arrived at the London Stadium hoping to get his fair share of chances for the Hammers.

However, his game-time has been virtually non-existent, with the midfielder continuously being overlooked by Moyes.

In the Premier League, he’s made just one substitute appearance, and even that was in stoppage-time against Watford in December. As a result, Kral has been an unused substitute on more than 20 occasions this season despite West Ham’s lack of squad depth.

His only starts came against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup, FA Cup tie at Kidderminster, although even then he was hauled off at half-time and the dead rubber Europa League group stage game against Dinamo Zagreb in December.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “Alex Kral hasn’t worked out. David Moyes was a huge admirer of him when he first came in, but he hasn’t really offered as much to the side as you thought he might.”
