West Ham manager David Moyes has been told that Paul Onuachu is “definitely ready” for the Premier League amid ongoing transfer links with the Hammers.
David Moyes has had limited options at centre-forward since the departure of Sebastien Haller. He moved to Ajax for £20m in January 2021 and has proved a big success in Holland. However, his departure has left the Hammers without cover and competition for Michail Antonio up front.

The Hammers have been linked with a plethora of names as they look to bring in a fresh face. However, Moyes is yet to see a move bear fruit, despite scouring the market for a number of potential recruits.
One of those who has found his name persistently linked is Onuachu.
The 27-year-old managed 35 goals in all competitions last term as Genk finished fourth in the Belgian top flight.
And the Nigerian has continued his fine form into this campaign, scoring 16 times and having one assist so far.
Why West Ham are yet to make a firm approach remains to be seen.
However, amid links with Tottenham and Arsenal too, Moyes has been given a ringing endorsement of Onuachu’s qualities.
Indeed, the belief in Belgium is that Onuachu is “definitely ready” for the step up to the Premier League.
