West Ham want Lille midfield giant Amadou Onana after he impressed David Moyes on his first visit to English soil, according to a report.
Onana, 20, started the recent Champions League clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. He has grown increasingly involved for the Ligue 1 side this season after they signed him last summer from Hamburg in Germany, where he spent his youth career.
They spent more than £6m on the Belgian under-21 international, then just 19-years-old, and tied him down to a five-year contract.
But with Lille struggling this season Onana could be tempted by a move away.
And The Sun claim the Hammers are looking to make a summer approach. They would have to pay £20million plus for him.
Moyes has that sort of money at his disposal, though. It could also be a wise investment with Onana’s price set to sky-rocket as his profile increases.
Standing at nearly 6’4″ tall, the defensive midfielder is hard to not take note of.

He seems like the perfect fit for West Ham’s side. Especially with Declan Rice seemingly destined for a top six move in the coming years.
