Motherwell hit by new injury shocker as star ruled out for MONTHS
Motherwell have ruled Pape Souare out for at least four months after the defender suffered a "serious ankle injury" during a bounce game a week past Sunday.
The injury ruled the defender out of the squad for the 3-3 draw at home to Ross County, with boss Stuart Kettlewell describing the injury as "significant" in the lead-up to the then-postponed match at St Johnstone.
A statement issued by Motherwell this morning read: "The Senegalese full-back picked up a serious ankle injury with associated fracture that will prevent him from featuring for a minimum of four months."
Souare was already attempting to recover from injury when he was pitched into an in-house bounce game the day after the Premiership match at McDiarmid Park was postponed due to a high weather alert.
