Motherwell fans deploy flares and smoke bombs at training ground as players sent passionate Scottish Cup message

Motherwell fans have displayed their support for the team by attending training ahead of tommorow's Scottish Cup clash with Hibs.

Some supporters set off flares and smoke bombs while manager Graham Alexander walked his side through the final preparations for Sunday's quarter-final match.

Flags and banners were also brought to the players' attention, with one reading 'time to write the next chapter of our story.'

Those in ML1 are desperate for cup success, with the club not winning a trophy since their famous 1991 Scottish Cup success over Dundee United.

A win over Hibs would see Motherwell return to Hampden for the first time since 2018's Scottish Cup final loss to Celtic.

Alexander's men haven't won a league game in 2022 but have succeeded in their two Scottish Cup matches against Morton and Aberdeen.
