Motherwell announce defender's exit from Fir Park

Motherwell have announced defender Juhani Ojala has left the club by mutual consent after just over a year at the club.

The Finnish international made 24 appearances in claret and amber after joining in July 2021 and managed to net once for the Steelmen in a 2-0 win over Aberdeen in September last year.

The 33-year-old hasn't featured for the Fir Park club this term and now exits the club on deadline day.

Motherwell boss Steven Hammell told the club website: "Juhani leaves with our best wishes.

“He is an excellent professional, but we feel it is in the best interests of both parties that he should look for opportunities to play more regular football elsewhere.”
