'Monster!' - Man United fans send Hannibal Mejbri message to Erik ten Hag after Leeds display

Manchester United fans were loving the fight shown by Hannibal Mejbri during Wednesday's friendly against Leeds United.

The 20-year-old played the first half at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo, with United and their old rivals going into the break at 0-0. Erik ten Hag's side enjoyed more possession and created some huge chances but couldn't find the breakthrough in the opening 45.

A number of young Reds impressed during the opening 45, with Mejbri the standout in midfield. The Tunisia international seemed to ignore the 'friendly' tag and put in some tough challenges. He even earned a rather harsh booking.

He also enjoyed himself further forward, finding the composure to play Amad into space on several occasions and dictating play as Leeds sat deep.

United are yet to make a decision on Hannibal's future, with Ten Hag set to assess the youngster during pre-season. And based on his first 45 minutes, many Reds supporters would like to see him given a chance next season.

Borussia Dortmund are one of several sides interested in Hannibal, who enjoyed another great season on loan at Birmingham City last term. The Bundesliga club are keeping an eye on their target's development and situation at Old Trafford.

United spent €10million on the midfielder when they signed him from Monaco in 2019, with any sale hoped to recoup that fee and bring a profit.
