Money in the Bank 2022: Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss and other contenders for women's match

With Hell in a Cell in the can, attention will now focus on WWE’s next premium live event, Money in the Bank next month.

The show takes place on 2 July and will emanate from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and host both a men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. With the winner earning a briefcase containing a contract, that guarantees the victor a world title shot to cash-in at any point they choose.

GiveMeSport predicts which eight women could be set for a spot in the Money in the Bank match.

Rhea Ripley

As part of The Judgement Day Rhea’s stock is back on the rise and under the tutelage of the first-ever Money in the Bank winner not only should Ripley be a competitor, but a big favourite to take home the briefcase. It’s been a while since Ripley bought ‘The Nightmare’ to the Raw Women’s Championship scene, and her holding the case as a dark shadow hanging over the red brand’s division would only up the ante for Edge’s crew on Monday night. And let’s be honest, we’re all here for a big programme between Ripley and Bianca Belair.

Liv Morgan

A constant on Monday Night Raw, it’s pretty clear that Morgan will be part of the Money in the Bank match. Morgan has been one of the most improved talents on the roster over the past year or so, and plays the scrappy underdog very, very well – which she’ll do again in this one. However, at some point WWE will need to pull the trigger on the fan favourite, before they miss their moment to make her a believable contender for the world titles. Winning Money in the Bank wouldn’t be a bad place and platform to put that in motion.

Alexa Bliss

She’s back and on a major winning streak, so likelihood is she’ll be a part of proceedings and one to never rule
