Moise Kean in limbo as Juventus hatch plot to snare Everton misfit amid West Ham pursuit

Juventus are reportedly eager to complete a permanent deal for Everton forward Moise Kean in order to sell him on and raise funds for new players.

The 22-year-old spent the 2021-2022 season with Juve after penning a two-year loan deal in the summer of 2021. The deal included an obligation to buy in summer 2023 for a reported €28m if certain conditions are met. Having come up through the Juventus youth ranks, Kean made 21 senior appearances for the Old Lady before moving to Everton in August 2019.

But he failed to shine on the pitch for the Toffees while being dropped from the team for a breach of discipline in November 2021. The Italy international made just six starts among 23 Premier League appearances, scoring two goals.

And he was sent out on loan to Paris Saint-Germain for the 2020-21 campaign. It proved to be a productive move, with the youngster finding the net on 17 occasions from 41 outings in all competitions.

He did not seem out of place among PSG’s star-studded side but returned to Goodison Park at the conclusion of the loan. It seemed inevitable that he would be sent elsewhere and Juve took a punt on their former player.

But he failed to replicate his Paris form while in Turin. Kean scored just six goals from 42 appearances in all competitions. And it seems as though he did not convince manager Massimiliano Allegri or the club’s fans.

Italian publication Il Bianconero suggest the Serie A giants have a plan in place to deal with the situation. They now want to ‘complete a deal’ with Everton this summer, a year before expected.

However, his future is ‘far from Turin’ as they plan to look for a buyer and offload the former Hellas Verona loan star.
