Mohamed Salah sends Liverpool warning as Pep Guardiola criticised

Mohamed Salah praised the mindset of his Liverpool team-mates and insists they are capable of winning 'any trophy' they put their minds to.

The Reds booked their place in the Champions League final on Tuesday night after a 5-2 semi-final aggregate win over Villarreal. Liverpool , who will face Real Madrid in the final, are in with the chance of becoming the first English side to win the quadruple and Salah 's 30 goals and 15 assists have been a huge reason for this.

The Egyptian has highlighted how he is pleased with his goals and assists return this season but the main thing for him is always the team winning. The Reds return to Premier League action on Saturday night when they host Tottenham Hotspur.

Speaking after picking up his Football Writers' Award 2022, Salah said: "Most of us have been together for five years now. We know what it takes to win. We just need to focus and give 100%. We were 2-0 down in the last game and we came back - that’s really important for our mindset. We have the mindset that we can win any trophy.

“The amount I have scored is really good - the assist number as well is really good. The main thing is the team winning, but overall I am really happy about how the team is doing and what I’m doing as well. I just try to enjoy my football, enjoy my time at the club and help the team to win trophies - that is the most important thing.”
