Mohamed Salah posts cryptic message amid new injury claim in Man City title race

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has posted a mysterious message on social media after Saturday's 2-1 victory over Brentford.

The 31-year-old put on a great show in his first game for the Reds since New Year's Day, helping them to a 4-1 win over the Bees and keeping them at the top of the Premier League.

Salah, who came on for the injured Diogo Jota and scored his 15th goal of the season, had been out of action due to playing for Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations and recovering from a hamstring injury.

But after Sunday's win, there were claims that Salah had hurt his hamstring again and might not play in Wednesday's match against Luton Town. This would be bad news for Liverpool, who already have Curtis Jones and Jota injured.

Soon after these reports, Salah posted a picture of his celebration at the Brentford game on X, which used to be called Twitter. He didn't say anything about the injury rumours, but he often posts puzzling messages on social media.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will give an update on Mohamed Salah's fitness ahead of their Premier League match against relegation-threatened Luton Town on Tuesday morning when he will hold his pre-match press conference at the Anfield outfit's AXA Training Centre.

The January transfer window might have closed but it won't take long before transfer talk starts again and eyes turn towards the summer.
