MK Dons boss Liam Manning sends message ahead of Bolton Wanderers test as record nears

Liam Manning insists the only focus at MK Dons is focusing on the next game at hand which comes in the form of Bolton Wanderers and is not motivated by the potential of breaking records.

The Dons host Wanderers this Saturday at Stadium MK in an intriuging encounter in the League One play-offs story which is currently shaping up.

Manning's side are third in the table as things stand and three points off the automatic promotion places, albeit having played a trio more fixtures than second placed Wigan Athletic.

Wanderers meanwhile have narrowed the gap to the top six to just five points now after last night's 3-1 win over AFC Wimbledon and results elsewhere.

George Johnston put Bolton ahead after the break after nodding home Aaron Morley's corner in the second half versus Michael Appleton's side.

But the Imps equalised via Cohen Bramall when his shot appeared to take a deflection and get past James Trafford.

However, a pair of substitutes in the form of Kieran Sadlier and Amadou Bakayoko came off the bench to ensure Wanderers picked up another crucial three points to make it six wins in a row at the University of Bolton Stadium as the victory completed the double this campaign over the Imps.

The Dons picked up three points last night with a 2-0 win on the road versus Charlton Athletic, with goals courtesy of Tennai Watson and Kaine Kesler-Hayden.

The promotion hopefuls are closing in on a club record 11 games unbeaten away from home following the victory on the road.

But speaking after the win, Manning insists there is no other motivation for him other than the next game, which is Wanderers this weekend at Stadium
