Mizzou's jabs at Kansas headline top trolls of college football Week 2 - ESPN

A rivalry-game victory is sweet. It can be even sweeter when you get to needle your opponent after the final whistle.

Such was the case for Missouri in the 2026 edition of the Border War rivalry against Kansas on Friday night. The Tigers rolled to a 38-21 win, including a late touchdown that Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz said was inspired by an interest in «embarrass[ing]» the Jayhawks, citing a pregame hype video released by Kansas that leaned into the rivalry's historic roots.

The Tigers' social media team also got their licks in after the victory.

Missouri's X account made a couple of posts aimed at the Jayhawks, including one thanking Kansas for the memories, another captioned «Goodnight from Lawrence» showing wide receiver Donovan Olugbode blowing the crowd a kiss and a post with the caption «History lesson.»
