Miles of M4 gridlocked with queues of traffic as lane is closed between J46 and J47 in Swansea - live updates

There is queueing traffic on M4 in Swansea as lane closures remain in place due to barrier damage.

Traffic monitoring service Inrix says there is congestion in both directions from Junction 47, for the A48 for Penllergaer and Swansea West Services, to J46 at A48 Clasemont Road (Llangyfelach).

Traffic Wales has confirmed lane closures between Junctions 46 and 47 remain in place due to barrier damage..

It is the second day of the lane closures in the area. On Tuesday there were long delays on M4 eastbound carriageway in the same area, with a lane closure in place for emergency barrier repairs.
