After having some time to reflect on Monday's result and what it could mean for Arsenal moving forwards, I've come out the other side feeling rather positive despite the obvious disappointment.
I know the race for the top four isn't technically over yet but the chances are slim and in my mind, I'm already focusing on what can still be a really exciting summer for us regardless of where we finish. I say what 'can' be an exciting summer, but in fact, it must be. The excitement doesn't have to be caused by the number of players we bring in, which you could argue is relatively high anyway, but it is the ambition that must remain at the forefront of plans.
One of the many positives we can take away from this season is that Arsenal were on the brink of Champions League qualification. Some of you may read that and wonder how that is a positive, but if you told me at the beginning of the season that we would be just one win away from a top-four place with three games left, I would have laughed.
