Mike Tyson: Boxing legend has another bizarre close encounter with a fan

Another day, another senseless fan who is eager to push their luck with boxing legend Mike Tyson.

Iron Mike really hasn’t had the best of luck with fan encounters as of late. Only days after a physical altercation with a drunk fan aboard a JetBlue flight, one woman took “poking the bear” to a whole new level.

This reckless fan decided it would be a good idea to stick her finger in Tyson’s face, as he stopped to take photos with fans before attending Shakur Stevenson versus Oscar Valdez.

Tyson, who was visibly disgruntled, instantly turned around to confront the woman who had stuck a pink fingernail into his nose.

Luckily for the culprit, Mike’s security team were at hand to de-escalate the situation, and escort him away from the crowd of fans.

Perhaps this woman had a lucky escape, as only days previous to the incident, one fan realised the consequences of provoking one of the world’s most ferocious fighters.

Melvin Townsend, a 36-year-old male, allegedly threw a water bottle at Mike Tyson whilst aboard a JetBlue flight headed for Miami. Whilst Townsend’s attorney denies this, video footage that emerged shortly after the incident shows the drunk fan repeatedly harassing Iron Mike in attempts to get his attention.

This moment of madness ended badly for Townsend, as Tyson leant over the seat and threw a number of heavy punches that left him black and blue.

Thankfully, the woman in the latest video escaped the situation unscathed. We all know that there can be dire consequences when you decide to mess with one of the heaviest hitters in history.

In the clip, the woman can be heard apologising to Iron Mike “I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to do that.”
