Miguel Almiron 'will lead a SEVEN-player Newcastle exodus this summer'
Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe is reportedly planning a major rebuild of his squad this summer.
The Times claim that players who were signed for a combined fee of more than £70million are expected to leave.
Three players who cost a combined £50 million, Miguel Almiron, Dwight Gayle and Jamaal Lewis, will all be made available for transfer.
Isaac Hayden and Ciaran Clark, left out of Newcastle’s 25-man Premier League squad after it was strengthened, are expected to leave while the club will also listen to offers for the defender Emil Krafth and the goalkeeper Karl Darlow.
Sean Longstaff has a contract offer on the table at Newcastle and Howe has indicated he wants him to sign it.
The midfielder is another player who will see his contract expire at the end of the current campaign.
Howe said "I love Sean, but I maybe haven’t displayed that with my team selections. That's only because it is a really strong area of the team, Bruno is not playing either.'
Howe will also sit down and discuss a new contract with Switzerland international Fabian Schar.
The experienced centre back, 30, is out of contract in the summer having agreed a one-year extension last term.
