Man United: £76.5m star in 'tricky situation' could seek Old Trafford exit

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is in a ‘tricky situation’ and may look to seal his Old Trafford exit at the end of the season, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Rashford has failed to nail down a regular starting spot since Ralf Rangnick was installed as the Red Devils’ interim manager last November.

Rashford entered the final 18 months of his £200,000-per-week contract at the turn of the year, although there is the option for the agreement to be extended by another year.

According to the Manchester Evening News, La Liga giants Barcelona have expressed an interest in prising Rashford away from his boyhood club at the end of the season.

The report suggests arch-rivals Liverpool are also known to be admirers of the 24-year-old, who has been left out of England’s squad for the upcoming international clashes with Switzerland and Ivory Coast.

West Ham United, Arsenal and Newcastle United are reportedly keeping a close eye on Rashford’s situation, while Atletico Madrid have registered an interest as well.

Suitors were put on red alert after it was revealed that Rashford is considering his future having grown frustrated at a lack of action at Manchester United.

Jones has warned that Rashford needs to have a serious think about what he wants to do ahead of the transfer window reopening for business in the summer.

The transfer insider reckons there is a possibility that the 46-cap England international would prefer to head onto pastures new.
