Michael Schumacher could be set for second public appearance
Michael Schumacher could soon be in attendance at another family wedding after reportedly making his first public appearance in nearly 11 years.
The Formula One legend is said to have been present at his daughter Gina's nuptials to Iain Bethke. The ceremony took place at Schumacher's opulent villa in Majorca, near Port d'Andratx.
The 55-year-old former racing driver has been out of the public eye since suffering serious brain injuries from a skiing accident in Grenoble back in December 2013, which led to him being placed in a medically induced coma for several months. He returned to his home by Lake Geneva in September 2014, where he has since been under the care of his wife Corinna and medical professionals, with his family choosing to keep details of his condition private.
Reports suggest that Schumacher was able to join the intimate wedding celebration of his 27-year-old daughter. Mobile phones were collected at the door to maintain privacy, and the local news outlet Ultima Hora reported that the service lasted about half an hour.
