Michael Beale responds to Rangers fans over Kilmarnock banners as boss issues 'we're stronger together' plea

Michael Beale wants everyone at Rangers to pull in the same direction after fans unveiled banners directed at Ross Wilson and the board during their win over Kilmarnock.

The Ibrox side ran out comfortable 3-1 winners but fury continues to emanate from sections of the support after their Viaplay Cup Final defeat to Celtic last week. One banner read 'after 55 titles you took your eye off the ball, time for change,' while another also appeared with crosses over the faces of managing director Stewart Robertson and sporting director Wilson

And while Beale wouldn't be drawn on the banner itself, he urged unity as he said: "I didn't see it. We're all together, I'm there supporting the team and I think we should just focus on that. We're a stronger club when we're together, everybody's opinion is valid, but I would rather just focus on supporting the team on the pitch."

Beale also understands why fans were frustrated at times during the win particularly after a sluggish start to the second half. He went on: "Down the years they've seen some really top players do well and they're eager for success. We're a stronger team when they're fully behind us but sometimes we don't reach the levels they want us to, there will be moans and groans.

"It's important the players focus and continue to improve all the time. I thought first half the fans were very happy with the team, so there's a little bit of a message in that for them as well."
