Michael Beale Rangers exit talk deemed 'disrespectful' as punter's wild Harry Redknapp shout sees on air accusations fly

A bizarre four-man list has been aired if Rangers ever need a new manager - but talk over who's next after Michael Beale has been deemed a disrespect to the current boss.

The Ibrox gaffer is taking fire on all but one side, as the club's board stand by their man in the wake of a tough start to the campaign. Celtic's 1-0 win at Ibrox on Sunday saw the players in Light Blue loudly jeered off the park and it's resulted in fans speculating on whether or not the Londoner is the right man to take them forward.

One such punter phoned up Go Radio and put a bonkers four-man shortlist forward for Rangers to consider. Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp, Celta Vigo's Rafa Benitez, St Johnstone's cup-winning double boss Callum Davidson and Livingston gaffer David Martindale. Redknapp was the first choice pick and the caller told pundit Leanne Crichton he'd rather have her in charge, currently coaching with the Motherwell Women's side currently.

She responded: "I think that is quite offensive if I am being honest! I thought I was coming across quite convincing! I'm going to tell you now, I don't think Harry Redknapp is coming to Scotland.

"Rafa Benitez I don't think would either, Callum Davidson I don't think at this stage coming off he back of a sacking would get the job and I don't think anybody is going to give David Martindale as harsh as it sounds to coach at a higher level, and I don't agree with that as I think he does a really good job at Livingston. Based on the job he does at Livi, I think that is a fit that goes well and I don't know if he could replicate that at another club."

Former Rangers defender Craig Moore meanwhile was far from enamoured with conversation about who could be brought in next. He said:
