Micah Richards has instructed Tottenham Hotspur chief exectuive Daniel Levy to back Antonio Conte to the tune of £200million amid the club’s horrendous run of form.

The north Londoners have lost five out of their last eight matches in all competitions, with their 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers signalling their third consecutive Premier League reverse.

The club’s chances of lifting any silverware this season under Conte look remote at the current time, while they are also way off the pace in the race for Champions League football - albeit with three games in-hand.

Asked for a verdict on Spurs’ recent run of form, former Manchester City man Richards pulled no punches with his thoughts and signalled the need for some serious investment at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
