Micah Parsons: Dallas Cowboys LB sets astronomical aim for himself in 2022

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons has set an incredibly lofty goal for himself ahead of this upcoming season.

To say that Micah Parsons came out of the blocks flying during his debut season in the NFL wouldn’t be too much of an exaggeration. As the #12 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and playing for a team like the Dallas Cowboys, there is plenty of hope, hype and expectation that will follow you around, but he was able to deliver pretty much everything that was expected of him.

Able to play both linebacker and defensive end, he caused havoc for offenses across the league as he put up some incredible numbers, including 84 combined tackles, 13 sacks – a rookie record for the team – and 3 forced fumbles as he helped the Cowboys make the playoffs with a 12-5 record.

Those performances didn’t go unnoticed as he was unanimously voted the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year, earning 50 out of 50 votes and also finished second in AP Defensive Player of the Year voting ahead of the likes of Aaron Donald.

Not content with those numbers, Parsons is in the mood to well and truly become a dominant force within the NFL, even if he has to push his teammates out of the way to get there. He recently stated in an interview about teammate DeMarcus Lawrence when talking about being the leading sacker on the Cowboys that:

“I’m sorry to tell him he’s never getting that (the sack lead) back. I want him to get all the enjoyment that he possibly can, feed his head so he can be a 10-sack guy. But if 10’s the number, I’m going for 20.”

Defensive Rookie of the Year. First-team All-Pro.@MicahhParsons11’s rookie season was nothing short of spectacular.
