Met Office latest for each Greater Manchester borough as showers set to hit before temperatures climb

Greater Manchester is set for an unsettled day of weather before temperatures begin to climb this weekend. Clouds are hanging above the region this morning (July 26), with relatively cool conditions for the time of year.

Scattered showers are set to hit Greater Manchester at various times in the morning and afternoon, according to the Met Office. Manchester is in line to see the warmest of the region's weather.

But forecasters don't expect temperatures to climb above 19C in the city. Some areas of the region could see temperatures dip to 14C later tonight.
