The three sisters from Greater Manchester who have been 'overwhelmed' with support after noticing gap in the market

Popular trends have emerged from the fitness industry, and amongst the list of exercises one in particular has boomed.

The rise in Pilates has taken the nation by storm with many choosing to focus on themselves putting their health and wellbeing first. But with this boom in the industry, three sisters have decided to turn health into wealth.

Sam, Ellie and Mia Spencer have used their business experience to launch a new Pilates studio, YOU, Mind, Body and Soul, in Whitefield.

Looking for somewhere they could exercise without having to trek into the city centre, the sisters, who are already avid Pilates fans, noticed a fitness gap that could be filled in their local community. Then came the idea of owning their own space.

“We did a lot of Pilates between the three of us," Director of the business Sam, 30, told the Manchester Evening News. "It is just such a booming industry - health and wellbeing - and it has been really good.”

And after opening the new fitness studio in August, planning to be open seven days a week and running four different levels of intensity classes, she said the launch of the space has been immediately well received. "We are completely overwhelmed," she explained.

“Our first week has been completely fully booked. We have lots of people on the waitlist, and we have received lots of glowing reviews.

Working alongside her two sisters, Ellie, 26, and Mia, 21, she spoke about the excitement of the next step for the family, as she said: “We are trying to do something for us as a family and as a community.
