Met Office forecast as 'pleasantly warm' weather expected in Greater Manchester

'Pleasantly warm' weather is forecast in Greater Manchester today - as temperatures rise to around 15C.

According to the Met Office, after a partly cloudy morning in our region, sunny spells are forecast for much of today (Monday). Forecasters predict it will feel warm in the sunshine as the mercury climbs up to 15C this afternoon.

A dry evening is then expected in Greater Manchester with mild temperatures forecast overnight into Tuesday. Temperatures will remain at around 10C through Tuesday morning before rising to around 13C tomorrow afternoon.

A mix of sunny spells and clouds are forecast for tomorrow, though some light showers could fall over parts of our region. From Wednesday, the weather picture will become more 'unsettled' with longer spells of rain expected.

On today's outlook for the north west of England, the Met Office said: "A cloudy and damp start on Monday, but it will soon turn brighter with sunny spells for most of the day. Skies turning hazy from the west late afternoon.

"Feeling pleasantly warm in the sunshine. Maximum temperature 15C."

On the outlook from Wednesday to Friday, the forecaster said: "Generally unsettled over the coming days with sunny spells and showers, or longer spells of rain. Breezy at times with temperatures remaining above average.

"Colder from the northwest by Friday."
