Messi, Neymar, Haaland: The most in-form XI in world football

Lionel Messi, Neymar and Erling Haaland have been in red-hot form so far in the 2022/23 football season and make our best XI of the most in-form players right now.

The trio have been lighting up the scoring charts and stealing Man of the Match awards everywhere they’ve gone up to now.

Messi, who recently admitted that he struggled for form in his first season with Paris Saint-Germain, has looked back to his best.

Having played nine club matches, he’s averaged a quite ridiculous 8.86 match rating whilst contributing five goals and a further seven assists.

Statistically, he’s the most in-form player in the world right now.

However, Haaland’s surely running him close thanks to his goalscoring exploits.

The Norwegian was supposed to get something of a wakeup call upon arriving in the Premier League, but instead he’s smashing record after record having already bagged three hat-tricks.

It’s men against boys when he’s about and his 14 goals in eight matches is testament to that.

But what about Neymar? Well, he might rank slightly behind Messi when it comes to his average match rating, but the Brazilian’s proven more productive in-front of goal.

He’s scored eight and assisted seven for PSG so far.
