India's Sharon Rachel Aby has won gold in the Asian Chess Championship for women with physical disabilities. The Class X student from Chennai battles a rare spinal condition called Muscular Atrophy, which has resulted in 90% disability.

Her family is seeking support for her treatment, which costs up to Rs 80 lakh per year to prevent further decline in her condition. NDTV's Sam Daniel spoke to the two-time national champion before her return from Kyrgyzstan.
