Medway Area Sunday League round-up (16/11/25)
Riverside Athletic were in seventh heaven after climbing into the top five of the Premier Division.
With their rivals in cup action, Riverside took advantage with a 7-0 win over Grain. Rooney Riu led the way with four goals while Ali Ahmed, Zac Jordan and Oluwadamilare Oladipo completed the scoring.
In Division 2, Louie Ball, Jack Dye, Jonathan Oliveira and James Hurcomb were on target in Strood Reserves’ 4-2 victory over Eagles Gold.
In Division 3, Will Young bagged the Anchorians Rovers strike in their 2-1 loss to Inter Rainham while Terry Phillis and Aaron Lorentson netted for the victors.
Jack Evans scored the Hempstead Valley consolation in their 7-1 defeat to Kent Marina.
In Division 4, a Luke Darling strike for Black Eagle Warriors was enough against Snodland United.
Aaron Scott, Harry Bradbury, Robert Cowdry, Jordan Lorentson and an own goal netted in Medway United West’s 5-1 win against Cliffe-at-Hoo Athletic, for whom Liam Ellis replied.
Jamie Nowlan claimed a hat-trick in Omega 92 Spartans’ 3-1 win over Invicta Allstars, for whom Josh Jones replied.
In the Kent Sunday Premier Cup, Jack Clover and Reif Youdale saw Athletic Bilbowls through to the next round after their 2-1 victory over Leysdown.
Cliffe Woods Colts won 2-1 against Strood, who replied through Billy Cane Young.
The second round of the Kent Sunday Junior Cup saw ASK Pentagon win on penalties against New Road Athletic while Cliffe Woods Colts A enjoyed similar success over Medway Town.
Sam Allen and Sam Heard led FC Catalans through, winning 2-1 over Swanscombe Tigers.
Josh Igwe scored both goals in Rochester’s 5-2 defeat to Swale Madrid, who progressed thanks to Reilly Connor (3), Harrison Watts and an own goal.
