Medway Area Sunday League round-up (08/09/24)

Cup action took centre stage in week two of the Medway Area Sunday League.

In the Senior League Cup first round, Borstal Wanderers lost 4-1 to Chatham Town SR, who scored through Lee Duvan (2) and Jack Cousins (2).

Athletic Bilbowls had Reif Youdale, Jordan Burton (2) and Thomas Benham to thank for their 4-0 win against Wigmore.

Three players scored twice in Black Eagles Athletic’s 6-1 victory over Anchorians Athletic, Ashley Trigg, Josh Brown and Joshua Wheeler did the damage.

Sam Allen scored for FC Catalans in their 3-1 loss to Riverside Academy, who had Tashinga Musiza (2) and Rooney Riu on target.

Medway Invicta won 2-1 against Cliffe Woods Colts, Joe Simpson for Colts

Sam Stace (3), Preston Kedwell (4), Jack Peters (2), Fjord Rogers, James Alderman all netted in Quested’s 11-2 victory over Rainham Kenilworth 2, for whom Jack Jenkins bagged twice.

In the Junior League Cup first round, Josh Brown (2), Tom Bennett, Fraser Jennings, Jack Mustoe, Owen Godfrey and Taffy Zinyuke led Strrod to a 7-2 victory over Pegasus 81.

Goals from Josh Waters and Thomas Arnold were not enough for ASK Medway as they went down 5-2 to Pentagon, for whom Jack Thompson (3), Brad Killick and Ryan Brightwell scored.

A Dan Harris hat-trick, Malachi Benjamin, Connor Turner and Ben Hawley were all on the scoresheet in Cliffe Woods Colts A’s 6-0 victory over Hempstead United.

Steve Armstrong (4), Matthew Rustic (3) and Toby Lindley were all on target in Eccles Sundays’ 8-2 victory over Rochester Eagles, who replied through Tom Bicker and Michael Adjei.

Issac Graham (2), Edward Holmes and Chris Jackson led The Stumble to a 4-2 victory over Real 60, who replied through Jack Matthews and Hayden Webb.
