Medway Area Sunday League round-up (03/05/26)
There were goals galore as the race for promotion in Division 3 hots up.
Jordan Butcher (3), Aden Woodcock (2), Jay Gibson (2), Jamie Feaver and Jack Ivory were all on target in Woodcoombe Sports & Social’s 9-0 victory over Anchorians Rovers.
Hempstead United hit Palmerston Athletic for 13 without reply thanks to Tom Arnold (3), Harry Hatton (2), Mitchell Mannell (2), Andre Francis (2), Michael Mannell, Joseph O’Shea, Joe Spedding and Jake Atkins.
Hempstead Valley lost 2-1 to Rainham 84 despite Reece King’s goal as Sam Kenny and Sam Wilson claimed the points.
Max Morgan (2) and Mike Simmons were on the scoresheet for Inter Rainham in their 3-2 win against River, whose goals came from Callum McLaughlin and Lewis Bridges.
In Division 4, Black Eagle Warriors lost 4-1 to Snodland United as Sam Jackson, Louis Dunkerley, Lee Hewitt and Harry Dawes did the damage.
Medway United West shaded Simon Massive 6-5 with goals from Will Mitchell, Ben Cooper, Harry Bradbury, Danny Olouwu and Taylor Abrhol (2). Adam Wenman (4) and Harrison Mercer replied for the visitors.
In Division 2, Josh Waters (3), Joe Lawrence (2) and Dom Weaver were on target in ASK Pentagon’s 6-2 win over Eagles Gold, who replied through Riley Beaumont and Callum Smith.
Tommy Nye with both goals in Rochester’s 2-0 win against Pegasus 81 in Division 1.
Premier Division Athletic Bilbowls won 9-2 at Eagles courtesy of Reif Youdale, Marcus Sutton (2), Jack Clover, Joe Quinn, Jordan Burton, Louie King, Ben Murphy and an own goal.
In the sixth round of the Andy Groves Memorial Cup, Danny Ball (2) and Charlie Morning scored for New Road Athletic in their 4-3 loss to Wigmore, who netted through Jack Culverson, Morgan Beer, Ryan Jones and Luke Brigden.
