McLaren unveil brilliant full-size Lego version of 2022 car

Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris have been getting to grips with a different kind of F1 car in Australia, with McLaren unveiling a full-size Lego version of their MCL36.

The McLaren boys are gearing up for the first Australian Grand Prix since 2019 and Daniel Ricciardo will be looking forward to the race more than most, with it his home event.

Indeed, he’ll be aiming to put on a show, as he put it in his pre-weekend comments to McLaren’s media channels, and Norris will also be eager to do the same.

How well they can actually go remains to be seen, of course, with the MCL36 struggling with a lack of downforce at the moment but, even so, work is ongoing within the team to get on top of their issues and Saudi Arabia saw a slight upturn in performance compared to a pretty miserable first race of the season in Bahrain.

Whilst we wait to see how the real thing does, though, McLaren have revealed a full-size, Lego version of their car with it really looking the part in the pitlane.

Take a look at the video of the drivers taking a closer look at it, with the clip coming courtesy of Sky Sports F1:
