Mbeumo signs, £60m striker, five sold - Manchester United's dream attack after transfer overhaul

Unless any unexpected developments come to fruition, Manchester United are not expected to make any further additions ahead of Tuesday night's 7pm transfer deadline.

The summer transfer window will temporarily close for just under a week after opening earlier than usual due to an exceptional registration period amid the new FIFA Club World Cup format.

The window will reopen again as soon as Monday, June 16, meaning United will once again be free to press ahead with their transfer plans.

The Reds have made a solid start to the off-season, signing Matheus Cunha from Wolves in a £62.5million deal and setting their sights on Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo. United have seen an opening offer worth £55m knocked back for the Cameroonian but they are expected to go back in with a revised bid.

Transforming the landscape of their attack has to be a leading priority for United this summer, meaning both incomings and outgoings are expected. With that said, MEN Sport has had a look at what deals United should be striving to complete over the next 12 weeks:

With Cunha already through the door, Mbeumo is widely expected to be United's second new arrival of the summer.

Although they are yet to agree a fee with Brentford for the 25-year-old, who plundered 20 Premier League goals this season, Mbeumo's desire to move to Old Trafford means there is an expectation a deal will get completed in the not too distant future.

The former Troyes man, who is understood to be valued at a similar price to the fee United paid for Cunha, has made it clear he wants to move to Old Trafford and strengthen Ruben Amorim's attack. The expectation is that he would occupy the right-sided No.10 role.
