Manchester United can announce £163m triple transfer next week after major deadline
Manchester United are fast approaching a transfer deadline that could result in them getting more deals over the line.
Matheus Cunha remains the only new signing to Ruben Amorim's squad at United so far this summer. The transfer window has been open since June 16, and will remain so until September 1 which gives United plenty of time to complete their transfer business ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.
June 30 will mark the deadline for the financial year for Premier League clubs, including United, when it comes to the Profit & Sustainability Rules (PSR). As a result, from July 1, United and other clubs will see their financial business reset and allow them to go into the market for more new signings.
One player who will be expected to join United from July 1 is Bryan Mbeumo. A bid understood to be in the region of £63million has been made by United for the Brentford star, who has also been wanted by Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
United have always maintained confidence that Mbeumo wants to complete a move to Old Trafford. Now it seems that a deal for the Cameroon international is moving closer to completion, and could be confirmed from Tuesday if the club want to complete the deal after the PSR deadline.
It's not just Mbeumo who United will be looking to sign this summer. It's well known that a striker is still on the wishlist for United, having previously failed in their attempts to sign Liam Delap, who went on to join Chelsea instead.
A host of strikers have been linked with joining United, but one name continues to be mentioned on the rumour mill - Viktor Gyokeres. The Sporting Lisbon star is widely reported to be keen to leave Portugal this summer, with Old Trafford mentioned as a possible destination.
