Mayweather, Tyson, Wilder, Foreman: The 'most dangerous' boxers of all time ranked

TheTopTens website have released their most dangerous boxers of all time list, as voted for by their fans, and it takes a difference stance than the usual skill viewed approach.

The list contains 12 boxers and it is pretty damn stacked, so let’s take a look!

At 12 is Floyd Mayweather. ‘Money’ Mayweather ran boxing for over a decade and finished with a perfect 50-0 record. He is likely not higher as he was often viewed as a defensive but smart boxer. Unlike others on the list, he prioritised winning over the flare of the victory, which boxers ranked above him showed.

At 11 is the ‘Hammer of Thor,’ Ingemar Johansson. Johansson, who is famous for his third-round stoppage of Floyd Patterson at New York's Yankee Stadium, became only the fifth heavyweight champion outside of the United States.

Edwin Valero is 10th, possibly the biggest what if in boxing history. Valero fought 27 times and won by knockout 27 times. The Venezuelan was known for his aggressive boxing style and is arguably the most dangerous boxer of all time.

The list has Roberto Duran at ninth. Not much needs to be said about Duran’s credentials to be ranked this high, but when he was asked did he knock out a horse, he confirmed it was true, so there you go. Duran also has 70 professional knockouts to his name, adding to his amazing resume.

At eight is Gennady Golovkin. The modern great ‘GGG’, who is famous for his iconic trilogy with Canelo Alvarez, is arguably the greatest power puncher of his generation in the middleweight division.

Seventh is ‘The Hawk’ Julian Jackson. A champion in two weight categories, what made Hawk so dangerous was his conclusive punching power in either hand. To back this up, he had an insane 49 victories by KO in 55 fights.
