Maximo Perrone names Man City teammate who 'drives him crazy'

Manchester City midfielder Maximo Perrone has praised Bernardo Silva's dribbling, insisting the Portuguese midfielder 'drives him crazy' in training.

Perrone has been training with his City teammates since joining from Velez Sarsfield in January. The 20-year-old made his debut in February but has experienced little first-team action in his few months in Manchester.

Viewed as a prospect for City teams of the future, Perrone has been gaining much of his experience at the club's Etihad campus, training with world-class players and learning under manager Pep Guardiola.

And despite the likes of Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish all being present, the midfielder singled out Bernardo as the toughest to take the ball off.

"One of the footballers that drives me crazy is Bernardo Silva, you can't get the ball off him!" Perrone told Argentinian radio station D Sports Radio.

Bernardo's future at City remains uncertain, with the 28-year-old attracting interest from across Europe. He has made no secret of his desire to explore other projects and has come close to leaving in the past.

Those within the club have already made their feelings clear regarding a potential sale, with Grealish spotted during the treble celebrations begging his teammate to stay for another year.

Guardiola has also reserved huge praise for the midfielder, describing him as one of the best players he has ever trained.

"I have been lucky to coach some very good players for Barca and Bayern," he told Sky Sports in April. "He is one of the best players I ever trained in my life, ever. He is something special as a football player.
