Max Verstappen goes quickest in both practice sessions in Barcelona ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix

Red Bull have continued to assert their authority on the current F1 season by dominating the first two practice sessions at the Spanish Grand Prix, but it was a day for major experimentation. First practice saw Verstappen a massive 0.768 seconds quicker than his team-mate Sergio Perez, while Alpine’s Esteban Ocon was third and Nyck de Vries of Alpha Tauri fourth. With drivers slightly more accustomed to the adjustments of their car, as well as the track, the second session provided much closer times.
